Our Voices – Podcasting in West Asia and North Africa

Podcasting is blossoming in West Asia and North Africa and it is an important emerging market. One of the reasons for this: Podcasts give people a voice, who otherwise would not be able to claim their place in the rather restrictive and politicized mass media of the region. These marginalized voices belong to journalists, activists, feminists and many others, who strive to foster tolerance and openness in their respective societies.

We cordially invite you
on the 27h of November 2021, 6pm
to get to know some of these (podcast) voices and exchange thoughts and experiences.

Together we want to take you on the journey of our Podcast Project “Our Voices” (arab. Aswatona). On this evening we want to share with you our insights from the project and the experiences of our participants.

Location: Consoleya, 5 El-Fadl st, Bab Al Louq, Abdeen, Cairo

There will be finger food and drinks to ensure everyone feels welcome.
The event will be partly in Arabic and in English.

The event location offers enough space for social distance and will be sanatized.
Please stay home if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
